 Connoisseur's Recommendation

Pope Clement V had a thirst for rich red wine and saw a need for locally sourced wines and so promoted viticulture. Thus was born the now-infamous Chateauneuf du Pape De La Gardine (Pope’s New Castle)!  It is named after the papal residency and prides itself on the many generations of quality and history it carries. This is the wine responsible for setting the high standards of wine that Cotes du Rhone is renowned for. This drop is overall rich, robust yet incredibly silky with a palate that features juicy black cherries, liquorice, anise, dark chocolate and smoke.
