Mount Etna – also known as “Mongibello” in Sicily – is the most famous landmark of Sicily and the grape variety Nero d’Avola – locally also called “Principe Siciliano” – is the wine ambassador of the island. Our Principe di Mongibello is a Riserva aged for 24 months in wooden barrels and shows, as winemaker Giulio Corbellani describes it, the elegance, the expressiveness and all the temperament of Sicily.
A strong and bright ruby red in the glass. Very appealing and redolent nose of ripe cherries, plums and raspberries. On the palate very smooth and well balanced with and long finish. A full-bodied and still elegant wine.
